| Empty Legs? |

GreenSeatFinder is built upon the “Empty Legs” principle, which comes from the fixed-wing aviation industry.
|

Think of it this way- with a charter /taxi flight, once the pilot has transported his customer to a specific destination, he still has to return home. More often than not, he flies home with a plane full of empty seats!
|
|
Or perhaps he has to fly out to a specific location to pick up his customer, and the plane is empty on the way there. This kind of trip is called an “Empty Leg”.
The customer who has booked the original charter flight has paid for the whole trip, but there is an entire "leg" of the trip which is not being used for transport.
It is a win-win situation for all involved if we can put passengers in these empty seats (that we call Green Seats) the charter company earns extra income,
a passenger has a chance to travel at a greatly reduced price, and everyone involved is acting responsibly from an environmental point of view.

| But…..why only airplanes? |

Why not apply the “Empty Legs” system to ALL charter/taxi traffic as well as to the transport sector,
and even to some “service related” professions? GreenSeatFinder does exactly this, making us unique!

Our service is not limited only to airplane flights,but also includes trips by limousine, helicopter,taxi boat, delivery truck,bus, truck, etc- any kind of travel that fulfills GreenSeatFinder's environmental requirements according to the concept of "Empty Legs".

Win-Win Situation?

As far as the “Operator membership” is concerned, it is simply good business for Operators/Brokers to add to their income on previously paid trips by offering inexpensive tickets to our members- anything over and above their original income for the trip is pure profit, and their cooperation adds to their reputation as an environmentally friendly company. Operators also receive the added bonus of creating a larger customer base through GreenSeatFinder, as one customer leads to another.

Our passengers have the opportunity to travel very inexpensively, whether it is by plane, helicopter, limousine, boat etc. These trips are "previously paid”, and will take place regardless of whether GreenSeatFinder passengers are involved.

While in the past, helicopter and limousine travel have been prohibitively expensive for most people, it is now possible to find tickets at ca 50 % discount- and fight climate change at the same time!

This is all good news, but as we see it, the most important aspect of the concept of Empty Legs has to do with fighting climate change. By using these already existing Green Seats all over the world,we significantly reduce the amount of carbon dioxide on our planet.
