Why is there a yearly fee to use GreenSeatFinder with the Traveler/Service

Customer membership?

Those with Operator memberships do not pay at all, but our Traveler/Service Customers do pay.

As there are no banners or commercial materials on our site, we have chosen to charge a small fee to cover the costs of running GreenSeatFinder.

One dollar/one euro per month is a minimal fee, one that pays itself off after only one trip/service as a member of GreenSeatFinder.

What do I actually pay for with GreenSeatFinder?

GreenSeatFinder is a unique service, connecting Operators and Travelers/Customers (both in the transport sector and also concerning other services) in order to allow them to do business with each other. As a Traveler/Service Customer member, you simply pay 1 USD/month for this “contact data”.

As an Operator, you have the opportunity to make extra money for your company at no cost, as there is simply no member fee or any other cost for operators!

As a Traveler/Customer, you’ll have the chance to find great deals, with discounts of up to 50 %.

At the same time, both Operators and Traveler/Customers are helping in the fight against climate change. A “win win” situation for all involved!

How much does it cost to be a member of GreenSeatFinder?

Those with Operator memberships do not pay at all, but our Traveler/Service Customers do pay.

As a Traveler/Service Customer member, you simply pay 1 USD/month or 1 euro/month, depending on where you live. The fee is paid once yearly, at 12 dollars/12 Euros per year, and is paid upon registration. The fee covers the costs of running GreenSeatFinder, since we have no advertising on the website.

What is an Invite?

If you received an invite you also received a free password. This means that during the registration process, you are not required to pay the 12 dollar or 12 euro yearly fee.

What is GreenSeatFinder’s commission per trip?

Nothing- our only charge is the yearly fee from our Traveler/Service customers. We are not involved in any financial transactions, nor do we receive any commission, for the trips/services being offered on  GreenSeatFinder .

Can I pay my membership per month instead of per year?

At this time, we are only offering payment per year.

How do I make a safe payment of the yearly fee to GreenSeatFinder?

You can pay the yearly fee by credit card or with PayPal. You do NOT have to have a PayPal account to be able to pay the fee.

We do not keep any reference or save the credit card numbers after your payment. Please ensure that when you pay with PayPal, you have the PayPal “lock” sign in the address field in your browser for a secure transfer. This is a very good way to ensure that everything is in order.

Can I, as an Operator, lower my prices to attract customers?

Yes, if you have not yet come to an agreement with a customer, you are free to change the price.

If my trip gets cancelled, will I be reimbursed by GreenSeatFinder?

Unfortunately, a trip can always be cancelled for different reasons. The Operator is required to pay you back if you’ve paid in advance, according to  GreenSeatFinder's disclaimer.

 GreenSeatFinder's  responsibility is simply to provide contact between Operators and Travelers.

As GreenSeatFinder is not involved in any other payment except our own yearly fee, GreenSeatFinder  does not reimburse Operators or Travelers for cancelled trips or other similar scenarios, according to our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.

Do I need to have a PAYPAL account to pay the yearly fee to GreenSeatFinder?

No, you do NOT need to have a PayPal account. You may pay by credit card as well.
